The Lower Yuba River is the Central Valley's gem... a fishery that is home to wild Rainbow Trout and the natal waters of migrating wild Steelhead and Salmon. Located about 1 hour northeast of Sacramento, this section of river is a tailwater that flows from Englebright Reservoir and westward toward Marysville / Yuba City. We fish the section from the Hwy. 20 bridge (Parks Bar) to the Daguerre Point Dam for wild Rainbow Trout and Steelhead.
The Yuba has a variety of water to fish... from fast riffles, glassy flats, boulder strewn runs, to deep pools. Depending on the time of the season, we may employ a variety of techniques such as stripping streamers, nymphing, swinging soft hackles, and/or dry fly fishing.
