Lower Feather River

A trophy fall Feather River Steelhead!

Coined as one of the Central Valley's most productive fall Steelhead fisheries, the Lower Feather River is a tailwater that flows southward from Lake Oroville.  In the late-summer/fall, both wild and hatchery Steelhead migrate up this drainage and will feed vigorously on eggs and nymphs that are dislodged by spawning King Salmon.  Most Steelhead will range between 3 - 6 pounds, however there is always a possibility to hook 10+ pound Steelhead too!

We will fish the upper section of the Lower Feather between Oroville and Gridley.  During the float, we may fish deep pools, shallow riffles, long runs, or wide tailouts.
